What vaccinations do we recommend?
At WellPet Vets we recommend only the best protection for your pet against viral diseases. Unfortunately there is no specific treatment for these viruses and many can be fatal and so prevention is our only weapon.
We therefore routinely vaccinate pets yearly during their annual vet health consultation with the most comprehensive vaccines available in Australia.
This means that you can rest assured your beloved pet will be protected against the following diseases:
Vaccination protection for dogs
We recommend the following protocol for vaccinating your dog. You will note that puppies require a course of three initial vaccinations to ensure adequate immunity as their bodies and immune systems grow.
1st puppy vaccination is a C3 + C2i vaccine at 6-8 weeks of age followed by-
2nd C7 vaccine at 10-12 weeks and
3rd a C3 + C2i booster vaccine at 14-16 weeks.
These are then followed by a YEARLY C7 booster.
The C3 + C2i Vaccine protects your pet against; Parvovirus, Distemper, Hepatitis, Coronavirus and Leptospirosis
The C7 vaccine protects your pet against; Parvovirus, Distemper, Hepatitis, Coronavirus, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza virus and Bordatella Virus (Canine cough)
Vaccination protection for cats
We recommend the following protocol for vaccinating your cat. You will note that kittens require a course of three initial vaccinations to ensure adequate immunity as their bodies and immune systems grow.
1st Kitten vaccination is a F5 vaccine at 6-8 weeks of age followed by-
2nd F5 vaccine at 10-12 weeks and
3rd an F5 booster vaccine at 14-16 weeks.
These are then followed by a YEARLY F5 booster.
The F5 Vaccine protects your pet against: Feline Enteritis, Feline Rhinotracheitis and feline Calici virus, Feline leukemia, and Chlamydia
If your cat is an outdoor cat, we recommend also vaccinating them against Feline Aids virus in addition to the above viral protection. This is best started as a kitten to ensure life long protection.
Vaccination protection for rabbits
We recommend the following protocol for vaccinating your Rabbit. You will note that young Rabbits require a course of two initial vaccinations to ensure adequate immunity as their bodies and immune systems grow.
1st Rabbit vaccination is a Calici Virus vaccine at 6-8 weeks of age followed by-
2nd Calici Virus vaccine at 10-12 weeks and
These are then followed by a YEARLY Calici Virus booster.
Vaccination protection for ferrets

1st Ferret vaccination is a (ferret specific dose) C3 vaccine at 6-8 weeks of age followed by-

Are your pets vaccinations up to date?
Vaccinations should accompany a full health check by your pets veterinarian and this should happen annually. If your pet has not been vaccinated or you are unsure, please contact our team for advise. Protect your pet from deadly disease!
