Does my pet need to go to school?
Puppy Preschool provides a fantastic and important opportunity for puppies to socialise and develop their communication skills. We have all seen the consequences of poor socialisation, dogs that are fearful or aggressive towards other dogs and even people.
Puppy preschool provides a safe and non threatening environment for puppies to interact with other dogs and people in a positive way, and in this way helps to avoid the difficulties of raising a dog with poor social skills. We also give you guidance and information on how to raise a healthy and well behaved puppy
What will my puppy learn?
Topics covered during the classes include:
- Basic commands – sit, stay, drop, come
- Positive re-enforcement training advise
- Toilet training
- Walking on a lead
- Biting and Jumping
- Phobias
- Microchipping and desexing
- Nutrition
- Preventative Health Care.

How long does the class run for?
Puppy Preschool runs for 4 weeks at 7.30pm one day per week. We accept puppies for enrolment from 8 to 14 weeks of age. After this, we recommend your puppy complete their vaccination course and they will then be old enough to start dog obedience classes, if desired. Before attending their first class, your puppy has to have had a health check, and also has to be up to date with their vaccinations.
What prinicples and behavioural principles does WellPet use?
